The BlackBox TG1/TG3 and TG5/TG7solution,

 This box is a machined aluminum enclosure for Sony's latest side mount HD camcorder.
The TG is the perfect companion in all freefall applications with its very slim design, light weight and HD format. The camcorder does come with a couple of challenges that Cookie Composites has had to overcome in the design of this enclosure.
Firstly the camera has no thread for a wide angled lens- Cookie has been able to combat this by machining the lens thread straight into the box itself. The thread size is a very common 30mm. The lens will stay on the BlackBox while you just slide that camcorder into the box and up against the lens.
Because the camcorder has no view finder or record light it’s essential to have a remote switch and record light. The BlackBox TG has just enough room for the camera and Hypeye D Pro to slide into the housing enabling remote control of the camcorder once it’s in place.
The gap between the Blackbox TG and the helmet allows access to the camera's power on/off. This means that without a remote switch you’re still able to power the Camcorder up and press the record button at the rear. The other advantage of this design is that it brings the camera away from the helmet to allow clearance for a wide angle lens and eliminates the risk of filming your helmet. Note: Neither the Liquid3 or Liquid5 lens will vignette with the BlackBox TG but when using the Liquid3 you may find that the camera could film a small part of the helmet.

Cookie Composites low profile Liquid Lens is the perfect choice for all your filming requirements. These quality Japanese manufactered lenses have minimal barrel distortion and are vignette free. The question is Liquid 3 or Liquid 5?? and do I need a filter kit??? As a camera flyer you need to identify what disciplines you wish to film, your experience level and the distance away from your subject when filming. Most experience camera flyers generally have more than one lens in there arsenal so they can adapt there equipment to suit the conditions.                No  Lens   Liquid5x0.45 Liquid3x0.29         Liquid2x0.25 Images taken using Sony PC1000 The Liquid 2 x 0.25 lens has the widest field of view os all our lenses.This lens is suitable for flying handycam, belly/foot mounted applications and when filming at a distance of <1m or 3 feet. The Liquid 3 x 0.29 lens. This lens is suitable for flying inside camera on linked exits, inside formation flying when videoing your friends, handycam and belly mounted applications and when filming at a distance of <2m or 6 feet. When filming larger subjects you will be able to get noticably closure with out cropping. The Liquid 5 x0.45 lens has a field of view slightly less than the Liquid 3. This lens is best suited for filming outside camera where your subject is at distances of >2m or 6 feet. This lens is especially good for a beginner camera flyer as you donot have to get as close to your subject. It is also suitable for Tandem videographers and RW team camera flyers. The Filter Kit option available with the Liquid lens range provids a sacrificial glass element that is inexpensive to replace if damaged through scratching. The kit also allows special effect filters to be adapted to the lens.
