Louis Harwood
Louis Harwood - Avalore Freefly Why do you like to freefly: I like to freefly because of the variety. I can be serious with team training, I can teach freeflying or I can just go and jump and enjoy it just as much, whether I'm by myself or in a group of 20 or more. There are different types of freefly jumps and you will never know everything, theres always something else to learn.
Number of Jumps: 1500
Best Jump: It was a hybrid in Spain, we had 2 hangars and 4 flat flyers. The first jump of the day and we managed to turn 4 points, everything just came together and it worked perfectly.
Hometown in the UK: Grimsby
Favourite quote: Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you're up to.
First Jump: Static Line when I was 16 - The Jump went perfectly, I manifested for my second jump straight away. I spent the next month at the dropzone and from then on I knew exactly what I wanted to do in my life, I was addicted!
Rob McVey
Rob McVey - Avalore FreeflyWhy do you like to freefly: Its the variety and freedom of freeflying, if we're planning a dive and you can be spoilt for choice, different positions, different angles, different speeds and directions. Whatever we're doing theres always a challenge but also a fun element to it. We laugh alot when we're freeflying, its important to remember that.
Number of Jumps: 1500
Best Jump: One of my most memorable jumps must be one I did with Chris Fiala during the early stages of learning to fly on my head. It was over Elsinore at sunset and I achieved my first headdown dock. It was a great feeling, the sunset over the lake, the mountains in the background, the sense of things actually coming together and beginning to click as before this I was making hard work of it!
Hometown in the UK: Manchester
Favourite Quote: There are no such things as strangers, only friends you havent met
Where did you do your first jump and what you thought of it: It was at black knights parachute centre - static line jump - when I was 17 - After my first jump I was left smiling for days and had never realised how life changing this sport could be. I was hooked from the first jump.
