Originally from the UK, Greg and Elaine run Skydive Temora, which they have owned and operated for over ten years.

Greg writes “I was inspired by the wingsuit concept since first seeing those great shots of Patrick in his prototype suit. Then BirdMan produced the first commercially available wingsuit and shortly thereafter I did my first flights under the guidance of Tom Begic. Instantly hooked I searched avidly for others to flock with.

As the discipline developed BirdMan introduced their BMI programme, aimed at providing education, training and standardised first flight tuition for new WSers. I along with Fergs gained BMCI status – the idea being for us to train and qualify BMI’s throughout Australia to develop the discipline further & and make safe wingsuit flying available to all who were interested. Since that time Elaine & I have been travelling all over offering FFC’s, further coaching and BM Instructor training and evaluations Getting out there meeting new faces & some old ones has been great, seeing the enthusiasm skyflying is creating is even better, the flocks have been consistently good & growing!

We will be at Nox in October, Nowra in November, back to WA next Easter & Skysisters in April where Elaine is hoping to get organise an all female Australian Flock Record.

Both of us jump camera, Elaine has1500+ camera jumps – almost all on a really old Leo helmet that she was very attached to! I made my first camera jump back in 1984, using a camera mounted on a Pro-Tec helmet and a recorder stuffed down my jumpsuit. I filmed our four way team, display jumps, CRW, team training jumps, anything. For years I used a modified pro-tec helmet – the cameras got smaller of course.

I got back into jumping camera with my interest in wingsuits and have been searching the world for my ideal camera helmet – I finally found everything I was looking for in the Cookie helmet; fit, weight, and style it has it all. But more importantly; it’s smooth, snag free design, and excellent quick release system make it a smart option too.”

“Hey it’s a thing of beauty…I am sold J “ Elaine

“Thanks Cookie!!”
